community team participating in the Metro (SLC) area.
Our team
A Special Olympics community-based team is run solely by volunteers. We rely on volunteer coaches and the support of our community to participate in Special Olympics Utah’s sports seasons.
Sportsmanship
Our team focuses on developing qualities of generosity and genuine concern for others. We strive to be aware of our influence on the behavior of others and model good sportsmanship.
Leadership
We provide opportunities for Unified Leadership for athletes with and without intellectual disabilities. Together our leaders create meaningful inclusion in their teams and communities.
Friendship
By playing together, our teammates build bridges to acceptance and understanding. We are dedicated to promoting social inclusion and developing friendships — on the playing field and off.
